For numerous reasons, this doesn't seem practical to me. It is very clever and I think this will be a highly celebrated awards wank – but it isn't a real solution to a real problem.

First of all, it isn't even made crystal clear to the kid that only they can see the line. The agency tried to make the line clever instead of clear. It could say something more like, "Hey kid, only you can read this. Call this number if you need help."

And what difference would it make if an abusive adult can see the line? Are they going to cover the kid's eyes?
