Bowling balls
Description
A male and female bowling ball decide to leave for a better life at Lucky Strike Bowling. But end up in a nightmare that could be described as The Hangover part 3.
Film advertisement created by Joe Public, Netherlands for Hotel Zuiderduin, within the category: Transport.
Creative Directors: Antoine Houtsma, Bart Oostindie
Director: Patrick Louwerse
DOP: Jorn van der Putte
Sound: FC Walvisch
Post-production: Maurik de Ridder
The stop motion feels like Teeny Little Super guy from Sesame Street. I felt more like this was part of a viral YouTube video series than an ad. I do think it was kind of cute and funny, but I don't think it would make me want to go to a bowling alley (or the hotel that houses this bowling alley?)
This is so weak, so lame and so boring on so many levels. And not funny.
The stop motion really hurts this ad. It feels like student work, bad student work. Could have used better BGM too.
Low budget. Stop motion was the easiest way to do this ad spot. Otherwise quite funny.
