That's probably exactly it. And I say Kudos to them for doing it, even though the feedback is mostly negative.

I've worked on package goods accounts that "test" before, and it is not fun. It is not easy. And if you DO manage to get something out of it that doesn't completely suck, you tend to be pretty proud of it. Lol.

I think she just wanted to come indoors so she could get her man to spray something all over her face. My puerile mind made me watch .19-.25 a few times before I accepted it wasn't the smell of stale p*ss she was avoiding with "the magic of clean linen". Her face...

I get that you can't be very creative with some clients, especially if they're giants like P&G. What I don't get is why the agency wants these ads to be showcased here.

I'm guessing there's a gambit behind this: maybe an agency who wants to say "I told you so", and is using AOTW to prove a point to a client who thinks they're overreacting. Hope it works.
