this is part of a integrated campaign for colgate called; the institute of sustainable design. this machine was actually created by a artists collective for the institute, and then produced by colgate. the film was primarily done for a vernissage, but then cut for the web and cinemas.

No this won't sell Colgate, but I don't think it was created with that in mind. In any event, commercials featuring weird contraptions are so old hat.

hi adbuzzer. colgate launched the institute of sustainable design, encouraging people to send their ideas on creative projects around sustainability. the comicfuture trashmachine was developed by the art collective atzgerei, and then produced with funds from the institute. then it was presented at various galleries and vernissages. so far, it was shown twice on austrias prime time news, as well as on the deutsche welle. it has been generating quite a buzz, since it supports new artistic talent, and obviously colgate is profiting from all the exposure.

I love the idea, exactly because Colgate doesn't want to sell anything, but an attitude toward art!!! This question about selling sounds quite old, actually.

Getting into consumer`s minds usually does not work through sales promotions. I like the current example because of the "arty" approach towards a topic that is very basic. Congrats!
