Take a leash, give a life

Agency Network:
March 2010

To encourage adoption at the SPCA, we decided to give away free dog leashes. We created a special hoarding featuring life-sized pictures of dogs from the SPCA along with dog leashes that were draped over the pictures to resemble cage bars. Placed strategically at a high traffic area in popular shopping malls, the public was urged to symbolically help free the dogs by taking a dog leash. A web link printed onto the leashes led people onto a micro site, allowing them to learn more about the dogs at the SPCA.

Ambient advertisment created by Y&R, Malaysia for SPCA, within the category: Public Interest, NGO.

Take a leash, give a life. Adopt a great companion today.

Kind of cool, I think...

But I agree with the guys above, I'm not pretty sure about the results...

Yes, my profile picture is my dog on my sister's bed, with a pillow and a blanket...

You must understand that Malaysia is a country where dogs or cats may be shot dead by city councils employees They killed mine at my house's gate . With pride...

Malaysia is a country where dog meat is now sold openly since few months with approval from Head of Veterinary service.

So, even the results may be not what it could be in a said developed country , anything the Malaysian SPCA may do is nice and must be rewarded !!!

Good as far as it goes, but where's the cats? Maybe they don't have a stray cat problem in Malaysia?

i accidentally walked past an spca booth at the mall near where i live, and met a dog who threw me such a look of adoration i fell in love - what can i say, it was love at first sight. that was more than 3 years ago. she is, and still remains one of the great loves of my life... despite hundreds of dollars worth of bitten shoes, brand new Timberlands included.

moral of story: be careful if you're not ready for great love and commitment when walking past these places

i know im rambling... blablablabla............... ^^
