The high speed walkway

Agency Network:
June 2013

To illustrate the speed and smoothness of the 4G network, and to show how it will change our current perceptions, Orange and its advertising agency Publicis Conseil came up with the idea to use an everyday object in an unusual way; a moving walkway that moves so fast it allows you to experience a unique feeling of speed.

Ambient advertisment created by Publicis, France for Orange, within the category: Electronics, Technology.

In the USA, this is a lawsuit waiting to happen. The red tape here is more like red wrapping paper, covering every angle and every opening.

Don't think this is much of an idea though. Cute, but sort of a first thought. Congrats to selling it in, though.

Fake! Nice idea, but when it's fake it's fake, common! You got the first idea now, so let's make it really work!
This hasn't gone beyond the first idea...

Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Why do you say it's fake? What's the tell tale sign?

Great idea regardless.

Fake because of the overacting. But still a great idea.

@morse. the reason why its fake is because
1) An escalator or escalator track has to be a particular speed (you cannot set speeds on it unless its custom made. trust me I know)
2) Any faster and people will fall due to sudden momentum or sudden stop at the other end.
3) If it was a TVC it would be great. entering it as ambient is gonna put this in fake category. (as you can see half these guys are actors)
4) You need to put a caution sign ahead (not just high speed sign) cautioning people of its speed. (they forgot to put a sign that says - high speed. Use at your own discretion)
5) No track manufacturer will allow his/her machinery (escalator or track) to be tampered with like this.

Good attempt though.

ideas....30 minutes nahi toh free.

It's such an obvious fake that I actually thought it was a regular TV ad. If it were real, people would tumble and fall, nobody would be smiling (they'd think there's a problem with the escalator and would look worried), and more importantly, the company would get a million lawsuits. It's not a bad idea, but trying to make it look real when it so obviously isn't is kind of lame.

Its a smart idea, but yes it looks fake, it would work perfectly as a TVC.
