Surely get's attention but what's the idea? Do they give these hugs bags or do they place them in the city? I wouldn't accept such a clumpsy bag with my meal.

Jack, it's just a visual aid, or joke. -- A bag like the familiar McD's bag which millions use to carry breakfast or lunch back to work a day, blown up a hundred times. Conceptually, it's no different from the giant inflatable cell phone tethered on the sidewalk outside an electronics store. This smells like a vendor-suggested use for large paper bags they carry and can print your message on.

Cute, but not breakaway.

That's it.

Hm yes but doesn't answer my question. Do they give them away or install them somewhere?

No, they definitely don't, Jack.
Yes, they obviously do, Jack.
It's a visual metaphor, Jack.
To illustrate their message, Jack.
It's meant to be fun, Jack.
Explaining it doesn't make it fun does it, Jack?

Your philosophical comment doesn't either, Guest.

Definately not a breakaway..

And I sure would've been pissed off if I were an old lady and some McDonalds-bag stole my seat!

Jack, they give them away. People take them because they're very convenient. Specially alcoholics, to conceal their massive liquor bottle inside. Or people who go grocery shopping once a year. As I said, they're very convenient.

i like this best amongst the three - i think putting the smiling man next to it works - he just looks real glad to have gotten such great value for his $, and pull you straight into thinking about it yourselves, too.

a friend of mine has a great insight on why people from countries with severe winter temps eat so much - is because they need fat in their bodies to keep them warm
