There is no easy life for mosquitoes here.

In early 2024, the increase in cases of Dengue, Zika, and Chikungunya rose by 300% in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, including municipalities like Nova Lima. Consequently, authorities declared an epidemic situation to redirect efforts towards combating the mosquito proliferation. The Aedes aegypti mosquito, the transmitter, thrives in clean and stagnant water for breeding. A campaign of awareness was essential, rallying citizens against the mosquito and promoting the elimination of Aedes breeding grounds. To break away from the conventional informative campaigns against dengue, we devised a playful approach, depicting the mosquito in a light-hearted manner to convey the message that there's no easy life for mosquitoes in Nova Lima when the public administration and its citizens unite to end the party.
