Description

For many homeless women who menstruate, it is difficult to safely and privately clean themselves while on their periods. Our insight is that not being able to clean and care for yourself while menstruating takes away part of your dignity. So we decided that a collaboration between Dove & The North Face could help homeless women take control of their period and restore their dignity by creating a safe portable way to privately clean themselves. We developed two products the Cycle Pak, a portable soap packet with sterile water, and the Cycle Coat, a wearable poncho that converts into a tent. These products give menstruating women a way to wash and a place to do it privately, no matter where they are. We also created a distribution console that can be placed in areas heavily trafficked by those who are homeless, to ensure continued access to our products.
