Share This Wonder-full World

Great Outdoors Colorado’s Generation Wild movement aims to get kids outside and connected with nature. One key to getting children outside is getting parents outside with them. The "Share This Wonder-full World" campaign focuses on the wonder and awe that parents and children can experience in nature, together. Experiencing awe provides amazing health benefits to kids and adults alike, and a sense of awe can be found just about anywhere from vast, open landscapes to the tiniest, vibrantly colored flower in a neighbor’s garden. A key element of the campaign is a series of billboards that uses actual elements of nature to create the billboard art. One execution features actual perches and bird food to draw local bird species into urban settings. Another incorporates shadows of a family playing that move across the board as the sun changes position throughout the day. A third board features river rocks in a stream that spell out our call-to-action. A fourth digital board features twinkling stars to remind parents that awe can come from even the simplest outdoor activity like looking at the stars.
