Gas Networks Ireland

Jedward breaks up

Agency: Publicis Dublin

Description

Twin icons Jedward split up over ‘irreconcilable gas safety differences’ in a new campaign by Publicis Dublin for Gas Networks Ireland.

The film shows brothers John and Edward at matching sinks realising they have a broken boiler. John (or is it Edward) suggests calling a handyman to fix it, to Edward’s (or is it John’s) utter dismay. A registered gas installer is the only safe way to complete essential gas appliance maintenance. The argument causes a Jepic rift between the pair told through some classic break-up tropes. The story ends with Edward leaving in the passenger seat of their sidecar.

Their break-up was teased on Tik-Tok by Jedward themselves, much to the dismay (and subsequent relief!) of their fans.

The film was directed by David Kerr through Speers Films.
