THE SIMPLE IDEA
Introducing our audience to the benefits of the blue button in a ‘conflict – resolution’ format. Using a light-hearted approach to demonstrate the benefits of the blue button, we will utilise ‘slice of life moments’ where our blue button can resolve the tenseness in most situations.

THE SLICE OF LIFE STORIES WITH THE REMOTE
My siblings and I would literally have a running race on the street to see who wins the DStv remote for the day

When my mom holds the DStv remote and becomes the spokesperson of the TV, reminding us that she’s the one paying DStv when we want to our favourite shows

My daughter sits with the DStv remote in one hand and her cell phone in the other. She just keeps changing channels while looking at her phone.

My little brother licks the remote so nobody can use it

Can you believe my older cousin? The guy hides the remote in his underwear guys.

My sisters baby ate some of the remote buttons. Now I use sticks to press.

When I get home and my mom is watching her shows and holding the remote. I have to wait till she needs to pee or get a call so that I can grab the remote and watch my stuff.

My brother is always hiding the remote. One time he hid it and went to groove the whole weekend not answering his phone

My dad is always watching sport! 24/7! He puts the remote under his legs so we can’t get it. If he don’t see a ball on the screen he becomes grumpy.

NARRATIVE
Based on the examples we received from the ‘slice of life’ moments with the DStv remote, it’s safe to say that the remote goes through a lot and it holds a lot of power.

With that power comes a new solution that resolves most disputes in the home, it’s the all-new blue button feature. Using slice of life moments, we tell a story of one household and the conflict that the DStv remote brings.
