Description

There are 100 million amputees worldwide, and about 80% can’t afford nor have access to a prosthesis. To help them, we created Amputype— an amputated typeface waiting for its prosthesis.

The anatomy of typography uses the same terms as the human body’s anatomy, such as arm, leg, ear, or spine. To spread awareness, we’ve amputated the universal typeface Noto Sans and built prostheses from other Google Fonts to help amputees receive the prostheses they’re waiting for.

This student campaign titled 'Amputype' was published in Spain in March, 2023. It was created for the brands: Google Fonts and HMCT, by ad schools: Miami Ad School and Miami Ad School Madrid. This Design, OOH Outdoor, and Print media campaign is related to the Health and Other industries and contains 6 media assets. It was submitted 3 months ago by Art Director: Ilu Shilpakar of Miami Ad School Madrid.
