About Time

This film was released in the aftermath of COVID-19. The global pandemic resulted in the majority of the world experiencing isolation, social distancing, and restrictions. However, these conditions were nothing new to the LGBTI+ community, who throughout history have had to find a way to navigate life within the societal restrictions. The film addresses these issues in a narrative that appears similar to the pandemic support films, depicting people in isolation coping with their new normal. Nevertheless, the film is replete with double meanings and metaphors pertaining to the challenges faced by the LGBTI+ community. It concludes with a melancholic message: "The restrictions are about to end. But not for all."

The entire cast of the film consists of LGBTI+ individuals, purposefully selected to portray an authentic and non-caricatured representation of the community. They all have firsthand experiences with restrictions, which aligns with the film's title, implying that it is "About time" the restrictions are being lifted.
